Windows Media Center sẽ vẫn được Microsoft tích hợp vào trong tất cả các phiên bản của Windows 8, nhưng sẽ không hỗ trợ để phát DVD. Tuy nhiên, Microsoft đưa ra giải pháp cho những người hâm mộ Media Center bằng việc tích hợp nó vào trong Windows 8 thông qua tính năng Add Features to Windows 8.Để sử dụng được tính năng này ta phải mua key kích hoạt.

1- Các bạn vào link sau

2- Điền Email và nhập capcha rồi chọn Send my product key,hoàn tất.
MS sẽ gởi vào mail đã đăng ký có thể một hoặc vài ngày.

Để kích hoạt Windows Media Center ta làm như sau:
- Tại Metro ấn phím S hoặc chuột phải vào góc trái bên dưới màn hình chọn Search
- Nhập từ khóa add features vào khung Search.
- Chọn Setting bên dưới và nhìn qua kết quả trả về là Add features to Windows 8
- Chọn I already have a product key và nhập key vào.
Windows sẽ khởi động lại và ta đã có thể dùng hết tính năng của Windows Media Center.
