Hi guys,
If you want to make your own Rom for your i617, just follow these steps:

1. Get these runtimes and install on your PC (Windows XP): vcredist_x86.exe and NetCF 2.0

2. Get the the kitchen, then extract to any where you want.

3. Get the original AT&T WM6.1 for i617 (only OS part), then put into BaseBin folder in the kitchen:

4. Now let you start to make the kitchen work:

- Run Dump [pda.bin].cmd then wait to complete.
- Get the file: initflashfiles.dat, then put into OEM\OEM_Lang_0409

Done. Now you can cook anything you like, after cooking, just run Build [pda.bin].cmd to rebuild the new Rom (in RomUpdate folder).
There is a guide to update Rom in the Attatchment.

But note that:
- Maybe some of PCs have some problems (cause virus or any reason), it can't show full hidden files. Just install fresh Windows XP again to fix it.
- To port the newer version of build, let you have to learn Here

And the last, I did sell my SamSung i617 to change a new toy

mình làm theo hướng dẫn bạn đính kèm trong rom nhưng ko up dc. không hiểu tại sao. mình up rom ship theo tuần tự các bước thì lại dc.

dùng cho i600 như nào,bác hướng dẫn tận tình dc kô,em chưa thấy bán 6.1 cho i600 nào cả,sợ die phone lắm

Mới rước về 1 em i617, mày mò setup được GPRS chạy OK với mạng viettel, mở IE vô net ngon lành. Nhưng với mobifone thì làm hoài không được. Cừ đặt user: mms, pass: mms > done; khi quay lại coi thì pass đã tự động điền thành 1 dãy ************. Không biết do virus hay do ông AT&T xía vào? Dù chạy GPRS (edge) OK nhưng các phần mềm kết nối (chát, mail v.v...) có sẵn cũng không xài được (cái này chắc chắn là bị ông AT&T lock rồi), muốn gỡ bỏ để cài cái khác cũng không xong. Tìm mãi giờ mới gặp "unlock app ...." và "kitchen" của bác NhatHoa. Như nắng hạn gặp mưa rào; nhất định phải thử xem sao.
Cảm ơn bác NhatHoa nhiều nghen. Có trục trắc gì sẽ nhờ bác tư vấn thêm

P/s: dã down được cleanRom. Nhưng những link trong này (NhatHoa[SamSung i617] Kitchen Link.rar‎) đã die, không biết có gì trong đó. Bác có thể up lại không ạ?
